Wood WORKS! is a national campaign to increase the use of wood in commercial, industrial and institutional construction. In North America, this market for wood is valued at US$20 billion. The Canadian Wood Council leads this program with funding support from the wood industry, the federal government and provincial governments across Canada.

The John H. The Mass Timber Institute is pursuing industry collaboration focused on ground-breaking research and development as well as specialized teaching and training for mass timber wood buildings and the use of advanced wood products. The Tall Wood Building demonstration projects being planned by the University of Toronto and George Brown College will be used as “living labs” or learning landscapes for the Institute’s programs.
